Here are listing a few common bugs from the coupled runs and the solutions for these bugs.

Issues with input/output fields

There will be issues with the input/output fields when running the coupled model:

Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Compare namelist.input and namelist.WRF_IO with the L3C1 case. There might be issues what you did not activate the WRF–ESMF interface or activate the interface for a specific variable.

  2. Check the source code in coupledCode folder and the mitgcm code. There might be issues with the MITgcm input/output.

  3. Check the WRF–ESMF interface source code, especially for Line 79 in installOption_WRF/wrfAO413_shared/ext_esmf_read_field.F90
